Data Centers of the Future – Summary 3/3

The mentioned new formal and legal requirements for designed data processing centers, as discussed in the previous segments, along with the necessity of implementing new technological solutions, compel investors and companies involved in designing these centers to alter their conventional design practices and change their approach to implementation and operation.

To the best of our knowledge and observations in the data center market, liquid cooling systems, both direct and immersion, are poised to become the fundamental systems widely applied in data centers in the near future. The widespread use of these solutions will lead to an improvement in the metrics reported under the European Union directive, shaping solutions that meet the conditions of sustainable development for ICT ecosystems.

For the past 7 years, Techko has been incorporating the possibility of using liquid cooling systems in its projects. In our designed facilities, we consider the possibility of gradually transitioning from air cooling to liquid cooling systems for ICT devices in server rooms. This crucial feature of our projects allows the owner/user of the center we design to systematically change the cooling technology without the need for interference in the building's structural framework.

In the solutions offered and implemented by us in the Techko® ModularDC technology (details of this solution were presented in an article published on the telepolis.pl portal: https://www.telepolis.pl/artykuly/ap/techko-modular-dc-data-center-budowa), we also take into account the latest trends and technological solutions emerging in the field of technical infrastructure for data processing centers with liquid cooling and low-pressure water mist extinguishing at the forefront.

At the upcoming Data Center Nation trade fair, scheduled for March 21, 2024, in Warsaw, Techko® will present its latest offering in the design and construction of data processing centers. This offering will reflect the latest trends currently emerging in the area of new functionalities for data processing centers and will also incorporate the latest technologies enabling compliance with the conditions of sustainable technological development, which will soon become a fundamental requirement formally imposed on all new investments in this sector.
